Transparenting Lifestyle Coaching (TLC) advice on:
caring for colds, flu’s, allergies, and sore throats.

This is not a cure for illness, it is a lifestyle that continually keeps the body in balance through staying in touch and listening to the continuous messages our bodies give us- as we are pay attention to it.

Keeping a healthy balance in the body can be understood through understanding the importance of “PH” (acid / alkaline) balance. You may be a gardener or care for a pool, or a pond and have found that this is a very import aspect to keeping the waters clear of algae... often times ponds require enzymes just as we do, to keep water clear. So it is with the body, our “Biological Terrain” (our fluids) must have a balanced PH or our immune system is not able to function at it’s best. Cleansing enables us to get rid of acid forming wastes that tend to clog our digestive system. It is a big part of healing all “dis-ease” because it allows the body’s ability to heal itself. Building up the body with nutrients that are truly absorbed into the body happens as we have cleared out the toxins and balanced the PH. If you feel the need, by all means run this past your Doctor, everything recommended here is mild enough to go along with what ever the Dr. feels is best for you in most cases, especially when being taken in small amounts. More and more Doctor's are opening up to holistic approaches with common ailments, especially with the undeniable negative effects of over using anti-biotics, it is beginning to make it much easier to embrace age old remedies like; Garlic, Lemonade, salt water, and Ginger.

When waking up sick, this is a lifestyle that continually keeps the body in balance through staying in touch and listening to the continuous messages our bodies give us- as we are pay attention to it: after brushing teeth, gargle with salt water and a few drops of tea tree oil, then take extra acidophilus (best to do every morning). Then begin boiling the fresh grounds of Yogi Tea: (7 cloves, a small cinnamon stick, 7 black pepper pods, 2-4 cardamom pods, and 3-4 slices of fresh ginger). Let this boil - (it makes the house smell wonderful!) While it’s boiling, make “Master Cleanser” (MC) Lemonade (made with the juice of 3-4 organic lemons, to an equal amount of organic grade B maple syrup, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to taste in spring water). With the MC, take 4-8 Yin Chiao's depending on how sick you feel, along with any of these other remedies you may feel the need for.
Drink the Yogi Tea with sucanate (dehydrated cane juice) and soy milk to taste or if you have a really sore throat just add Honey Loquat syrup and suck on a piece of fresh ginger &/or a Yin Chiao with a lozenge (for the taste).
The idea is to listen to the body and ask it what it wants. Listen to the way you feel... runny nose, sore throat, headache, each one has a message for you. And as you take each remedy, stop and feel the body’s reaction. Does it want more? Does it want something else. Tune in and it will lead you. For the sore throat &/or colds with infection- (this means yellow &/or brown mucus): gargle with salt water and Tea Tree oil, small amounts of Colloidal Silver & Golden Seal/Echinacea tinctures, and Olive leaf extract are very helpful. For throat comfort (and to help with yucking tasting remedies) use Hans Honey Loquat Syrup & Zinc Lozenges. For runny noses: use only Herbal Decongestants.
If you get hungry, eat freshly cut raw garlic on sprouted organic whole grain toast (Ezekiel Bread is good) with Ghee (clarified butter- cook butter for 12 minutes on lowest heat until fat rises, scrape it off and use as butter- and be thankful it's not going into your arteries or on your thighs.)
If in a hurry, and you need to be somewhere that can’t be cancelled due to illness, instead of yogi tea use Throat Coat Tea with Honey Loquat syrup (add a piece of fresh ginger that you can suck on as well a Yin Chiao tablet with a lozenges to help with the taste. Instead of Master cleanser use 1-2 Emergencee packet(s) throughout the day with plenty of Yin Chiao and any of the other remedies you feel may help throughout the day. Keep on these liquids all day and have garlic toast when you get home (not to offend anyone while out) and most important- is to sleep as soon as you can, for as long as you can. If you feel really hungry, eat soup with lots of garlic or something else light. Avoid dairy and any heavy foods- if for some reason you must eat a full meal, at least eat only a small amount and take a food enzyme with it.
Mostly, do your best to sleep, meditate and pray. We get sick for reasons so ask yourself, "what is the message here?" Usually, it’s just to slow down and rest, and has something to do with needing to let go of old emotional/worry type “stuff" that we all get needlessly concerned with. Every illness is an opportunity to let go of this "stuff". The real cure to all “dis-ease” it to be grateful for everything in our lives, especially the ability to heal our own bodies so give yourself some TLC.
