Circle In The Sand


A) Visualize yourself at the beach... hear the waves and smell the salt in the air.. feel the cool breeze on your skin...let it calm you.

B) Now, see yourself drawing a circle in the sand and go inside the center of the circle and sit down.

C) Ask each of your birth parents or main caregivers to bring a symbol of something that they saw as helpful to them... that you have come to see as something that blocked them from their inner peace. (Keep it tangible like; Money, Food, Alcohol, etc. ... for emotions like anger or fear... try to think about what made them angry or fearful and ask them to place those things into the center of the circle.)

D) Now that you can see these things are not them... as they have placed them in the circle. See lovingly understand that they were only blocks that kept them from their own peace because they saw them as helpful. Feel gratitude that you understand the difference.

E) Now place in the circle what you have held on to... that keeps you from your peace, something that you used to see as helping you, yet was something you came to see was really hurting you instead. (Keep it tangible like; Money, Food, Alcohol, etc. ... for emotions like anger or fear... try to think about what made you angry or fearful and place those things into the center of the circle.)

F) Forgive yourself for not seeing how much it hurt you (and perhaps others around you) as you held on to this misconception.

G) Now forgive them for not seeing how much it hurt them (and perhaps others around them) as they held on to this misconception.

H) Now let yourself feel the inner peace you long for and form a group hug with them... and ask you inner parents and inner child to join in.

I) Now step away from the circle and let the ocean wash it away.
